The Moment Motherhood Awakened My Creative Side

My love for DIY began years ago, but it truly blossomed after I became a mom two years ago. 

Having my baby changed everything – suddenly, I didn’t just see trash anymore. I saw possibilities everywhere. 

Cardboard boxes became playhouses, jars turned into flower vases, and old fabrics found new life as keepsakes. Those small, messy, happy moments filled our home with meaning and reminded me that creativity and care for the environment can go hand in hand.

The Real Reason I Started DIY and Crafty and What It Means to Me

Starting this blog came from a deep desire to share the spark of creativity that has brought so much happiness into my life. 

I know life can be busy, and not everyone has time or extra money for new décor or fancy supplies. But there’s something magical about creating with what you already have. 

Making things by hand has taught me to slow down, live more sustainably, and find joy in simplicity. DIY and Crafty became my way to share that magic to help others discover the same peace and purpose that comes from crafting and reusing.
